I have never fallen in love with Aveda products. They tend to have a lot of great fragrances, but not a lot of effect. So I just enjoy them when my stylist uses them on me and I rely on other brands for daily use. I was hesitant when a make-up artist at my local Aveda salon used Aveda tinted moisturizer on me. I was pleasantly surprised by the the results. It gives great coverage, leaves my skin looking dewey and fresh, and it moisturizes. I use it religiously in the summer when I prefer a lighter foundation. Recently I had a professional make-up application by a non-Aveda artist and she used a tinted moisturizer under foundation to help with coverage and tone. It worked great and now I am doing that too when I am presenting in front of an audience or having pictures taken. For every day, however, the tinted moisturizer is enough. You can buy it at most Aveda concept salons and all Aveda stores. For those who share my albino-inspired skin color, the lightest color in the line works for me, but I would love it if they offered one just a shade lighter, so make sure to try it before buying it to make sure the color works for you.
